Arsenal manager Unai Emery has revealed that he intends to use Hector Bellerin, Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding but insists that they will not provide an instant fix.
The Gunners suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United on Monday night and missed a chance to move back to the top four. Holding and Tierney were unused substitutes, with many Arsenal fans expecting the former Celtic left-back to make his debut, while Hector Bellerin failed to make the matchday squad altogether.
In a press conference ahead of their clash against Vitória de Guimarães, Emery was asked whether his best defenders have been left out of his Premier League starting eleven, "We are improving defensively. We’re receiving less goals. I don’t want to achieve the best defensive solution with one group of players… It’s for all the players."
Emery has been put under pressure by fans who have criticized his team selection and tactics following the defeat to Sheffield United.
