Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has hinted at starting Christian Pulisic in the club's Premier League clash against Burnley on Saturday.
The American has become a hot debate in recent weeks due to a lack of first-team action despite being fit.
He has, however, come off the bench in the club's last three matches and put in assured performances to the delight of the manager and the fans.
He was once again decisive in the team's 1-0 win in the Champions League against Ajax in midweek, supplying Mitchy Batshuayi with the assist to the lone goal in Amsterdam.
Speaking on Friday in his pre-match conference, Lampard said his recent performances have put him in contention for a start at Burnley but was quick to reiterate that he has plenty of options in that area of the team.
Chelsea have enormous wealth in the creative and wing positions, with the American forced to battle the likes of Mason Mount, Willian, and Pedro for a place.
He has however indicated he will keep fighting for a place in the team, further reiterating that he wants to stay at the club.
"I’m never going to let that put me down, not playing. I am going to keep fighting because this is where I want to be. I came here for a reason, I want to be here and make a difference. Whenever I get the opportunity I am going to keep working hard to do that,"
The Blues are currently fourth on the log on 17 points after nine matches, eight off league leaders Liverpool.
