Manchester United young duo set to start against Chelsea

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted at Brandon Williams and James Garner starting in the Fourth Round Carabao Cup clash against Chelsea on Wednesday 30th October.

Williams made his United debut in the League Cup win over Rochdale as a half-time substitute and has started United's last two Europa League group games at AZ Alkmaar and Partizan Belgrade.

After making his full debut in the win over Partizan in the Europa League, Garner appeared as a second-half substitute in the 3-1 win over Norwich City.

Speaking ahead of the Chelsea clash, Solskjaer was asked about the likelihood of Williams and Garner featuring against Chelsea, "Jimmy played 10-15 minutes tonight and was excellent, calmed us down and made some good decisions when we wanted to see the game out.

"We have not made a decision on who is going to play, but you will probably see the two of them. Character will be revealed in tough times, but I think they have done excellent the young kids. I can’t give them any more responsibility and I couldn't be any more happy with many of the youngsters."
