Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala is under fire from Barcelona bosses for criticizing the club during a barren draw with Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Barca could not find the net at Camp Nou for 90 minutes and suffered many threats from Slavia's attack led by Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka.
Oshoala, who plays for Barcelona Ladies, took to social media to express her thoughts about Barca’s performance during their disappointing goalless draw with Slavia Prague.
According to Barcelona-based sports daily Mundo Deportivo, the Super Falcon captain complained that Barcelona was not seeing much of the ball but she quickly deleted the tweet to avoid being disciplined by the club and face the wrath of supporters.
"Keep the bloody ball!” Oshoala advised the Barcelona players during the match at the Camp Nou.
Oshoala later went on to praise Slavia Prague’s Super Eagles’ striker Peter Olayinka, who was a constant threat to the Barcelona defense during the match, tweeting: "Peter no Dey tire#BARSLP”.
These actions may have vexed authorities in Barcelona and disciplinary action may be taken against her.
