New Zealand international Chris Wood has admitted that he wants to score more goals for Burnley after he inspired the side to a 3-0 victory over West Ham United.
Wood had been on the sidelines after he sustained an injury, he made his comeback known by scoring a cracker in the 44th minute of the contest at Turf Moor.
It was certainly a great day at the office for Burnley after suffering a massive 3-0 defeat at the hands of Sheffield United the week before - with the efforts of striking partner Ashley Barnes who scored at the 11th minute and West Ham's goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez who scored an own goal in the 54th minute.
“It was a pretty good performance from the team. It was nice to bounce back like that. We needed to and now we put our front foot forward,” Wood told the club's official website.
“We know we can do it, we know we’re a good side and we know we can put a performance together and we showed that.
“We just need to keep going and make sure it’s consistent every week.”
“It was a good performance and a good three points for us.”
