Former Zamalek forward Alaa Ali has reportedly died at the age of 31 after he endured continuous health problems, according to Ahram Online.
Ali who kickstarted his footballing career with Zamalek youth academy signed a professional contract with the club's senior team in 2007.
The club confirmed and mourned the loss of Ali on their official Twitter, all while offering condolences to his family and friends.

After leaving the African football giants back in 2012, Ali went on to ply his trade for a host of Egyptian clubs including Wadi Degla, Masry, Smouha and finally for Petrojet.
Alaa scored 19 goals from 119 Egyptian Premier league appearances throughout his career - he had been a free agent before his passing after leaving Petrojet following their relegation to the second division league in the 2018/19 season.
