Granit Xhaka aims a dig at Arsenal after featuring in Switzerland's win over Georgia

After featuring in Switzerland's 1-0 win over Georgia, Granit Xhaka has seemingly aimed a dig at Arsenal fans and Unai Emery.

Xhaka was booed off by a section of Arsenal fans in the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace as he responded by capping his ear and shouting "f**k off" before taking off his shirt and storming off the pitch.

The midfielder has since been stripped of the captaincy and has not featured since then with his future in doubt as he has been linked with Newcastle United.

Xhaka took to social media to post a message, appearing to be a dig at the Gunners. The midfielder's post translated as: "Happiness is when you are satisfied with yourself and don't need the confirmation of others."

Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce is hopeful he can use defender Fabian Schar to persuade his friend and international teammate to move to St James' Park.
