πŸ‡¬πŸ‡βš«βšͺ Darren Bent discusses Christian Atsu's growing frustration at Newcastle

Former England international Darren Bent has revealed that Ghana international Christian Atsu has grown increasingly frustrated with his current position at Newcastle United, Ghana Guardian reported.

The reason why Bent has come to this conclusion is that although Atsu has featured in Newcastle's last ten matches - he made brief appearances in the last five and it makes one wonder what is happening under the tutelage of Steve Bruce.

Reports in the media have cited that perhaps Bruce is changing the dynamic of his team and choosing to play Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron.

Bent who plied his trade for Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur told the Football Insider that Atsu's frustration is understandable and it makes one question the Magpies winning games without him - could he be the problem now or perhaps Bruce is not quite sure where to place him in the squad.

“It’s tough as where do you play him?

“You’ve got Saint-Maximin one side and Almiron the other side, who hasn’t got that goal yet, but he’s still creating, he could score and he is a still threat.

“Atsu likes to play out wide so that means you have to drop one of them and at the minute he can’t get in, he can’t be played as a centre-forward as they have Joelinton there so it’s tough.

“I can understand his frustration but I think deep down he’ll probably look around and accept it and the team are also picking up results, so it’s all going against him at the minute," Bent said.
