Olivier Giroud's potential move to Inter Milan to Chelsea has hit two stumbling blocks.
Giroud has been linked with a move away from Chelsea after losing his place to Tammy Abraham under head coach Frank Lampard. And former Blues manager Antonio Conte is keen to bring the France international to the San Siro in January as he looks for more options in attack following Alexis Sanchez's injury.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports the move could fail due to striker's demand as well as the club's asking price for the Frenchman. Giroud wants a £6.8m-a-year salary from Milan, which the Serie A giants can't match. He also wants to sign a contract longer than the proposed 18-months deal.
Giroud, who worked together with Sarri at Chelsea has made six appearances in all competitions this season.
