In-form Rashford can hold key to United's improving season

Marcus Rashford is slowly but surely earning the tag as the main man for Manchester United this campaign.

The striker has been phenomenal in the last couple of weeks, putting in assured performances for his side.

He has taken the club form to the national team, and together with Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane, the trio looks unstoppable going for the Three Lions.

In total, the 22-year-old has scored an astonishing nine goals in ten matches for club and country and looks to be going from strength to strength.

That excellent run of form began in the previous international break against Bulgaria at Wembley Stadium and continued upon his return to Old Trafford during the 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

United's academy graduate then scored away to Norwich City in a 3-1 win, before a memorable double against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.

The second of the night at Stamford Bridge was a sensational free-kick form 35 yards out, drawing comparisons to another United great Cristiano Ronaldo

He did not stop and continued with his good run in the Europa Cup at home against Partizan Belgrade, before another goal against Brighton just before the international break.

He, however, brought a 'miss of the season' contender moment during the match, failing to convert from a few yards out with an empty-net staring.

Two more strikes were achieved during the EURO 2020 qualifier matches against Kosovo and Montenegro, rounding off another impressive week.

Ole Gunnar's men will head to Bramall Lane on Sunday afternoon to face Sheffield, and it will be another opportunity for the England international to continue his impressive form.

His partnership with Antony Martial and Daniel James has also been lethal, with the trio contributing a total of 12 goals in the division so far.

In the absence of matchwinner in Paul Pogba, Rashford has taken responsibility to guide the team and he is impressively achieving this.

A fit Rashford holds key to United's revival following recent wins that seem to have boosted their confidence.
