Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has revealed what he told the referee before receiving a yellow card in The Red's 1-1 draw against Napoli.
Klopp was shown a yellow card in the first half as Liverpool went into the break trailing 1-0 courtesy of a Dries Mertens goal.
Liverpool, however, drew level in 65th minute through a header by Dejan Lovern after James Milner whipped in a cross.
Speaking in a post-match press conference, Klopp revealed his exchange with the referee that led to his yellow card, "I said [to the referee]: 'Don’t do that'.
"He stopped the game twice and made a big fuss. There was an opportunity for both teams to have a quick restart but twice he [intervened] and had things to say [to the players].
"So I said: 'Why did you do that? Please don’t do that' and then I got it."
Liverpool will need to get a positive result against Salzburg FC in their final group game to ensure progression to the knockout phases of the Champions League.
