Tottenham ball boy reveling 'amazing moment he'll never forget' after Mourinho hug

Tottenham ball boy Callum Hynes continues to revel in his 'moment of glory' following Jose Mourinho's hug during the club's Champions League match against Olympiacos.

The young boy 'helped' Spurs battle from two goals down to claim a 4-2 win against the Greek side and book a place in the knockout stage of the competition.

With Spurs trailing 2-1 in the match, Hynes's quick thinking allowed a fast throw-in from Serge Aurier freed Lucas Moura on the right flank to deliver a perfect pass for Harry Kane to equalize and start the comeback.

Mourinho praised the youngster in his post-match conference, and that his decision made all the difference.

"I love intelligent ball boys like I was. I was a brilliant ball boy as a kid," Mourinho told BT Sport.

"And this kid today was brilliant. He reads the game, understands the game and made an important assist.

"He's not there just to look to the stands, lights or scarves. He's living the game and playing it very well."

Speaking on the incident, Hynes said it made his life, even though he was quick to note he was only doing his job.

"It's all a bit surreal. I was just doing my job and I still can't quite believe what happened," he said in an interview with the official Tottenham website.

"I didn't even see the goal! I was busy getting the ball that had come off (the pitch) and then I heard the cheer. I turned around and Harry was celebrating,"

"I looked at the replay on the screen and watched exactly what happened. You can see from my smile it was just unbelievable."

He added: "Jose didn't have to do that. It was really nice of him to come over to me.

"It's made my day, my life, really. I love Spurs and it was an amazing moment I'll never forget."

The teenager, who is in his sixth season as a Spurs ball boy spent his journey back home revising for a maths test he was sitting for on the following day.
