French champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to battle to keep star attacker and World Cup winner Kylian Mbappé in Paris.
Real Madrid has been strongly linked with the 20-year-old, with Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane not hiding his admiration for the player. Zidane also hinted that it was Mbappé’s “dream” to play for Real and he even went so far as to say that he "loves" the player.
PSG made it clear that they didn't enjoy Zidane’s comments, and are now making it a priority to keep Mbappe away from Real Madrid by tying him down to a new bumper contract.
According to Le10 Sport, PSG is looking to tie Mbappé down to a complex new long-term deal that would make Mbappe the highest-paid player in the world.
PSG is not confident that their other star player, Neymar, will be at the club beyond next summer, making a new contract for Mbappe even more of a priority.
