Manchester United has received a blow ahead of their clash with Tottenham on Wednesday with news that forward Anthony Martial might miss the game with an injury.
Martial was substituted after 82 minutes of Sunday's home draw with Aston Villa with Sky Sports News reporting that France forward is struggling to overcome a muscular problem.
In the absence of Martial, United is expected to revert to a back three as they welcome Mourinho back at Old Trafford for the first time since sacking him almost a year ago.
The back three, however, failed to work for United in their game against Sheffield United two weeks ago and was forced to restructure after the half time break to back four.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also used three center-halves against Liverpool in October too, earning a draw at Old Trafford.
Despite the Martial injury, midfielders Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic might feature in the game while Paul Pogba has been ruled out. McTominay has missed three games with an ankle complaint, while fellow midfielder Matic has not played for two months with an unspecified issue.
