Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly expressed their interest in Norwich City defender Ben Godfrey who has had a rather outstanding start to his 2019/20 Premier League season.
According to Football Insider reports, Mourinho has been monitoring the England U21 international's movements and Spurs could table an offer of £25 million for his services ahead of the January transfer window.
The report further divulged that Spurs are facing stiff competitions from several clubs who are also eyeing the youngster.
Godfrey was shipped out on loan to Shrewsbury Town where he proved himself to be a solid player, he eventually helped the team to the League One playoffs final before he was recalled to Norwich and was handed a place in the senior team.
The Canaries manager Daniel Farke deployed Godfrey to centreback and was one of the standout players in the side winning promotion to the Premier League - he made 31 appearances.
The report claimed that Spurs would be approaching Norwich with an offer for the youngster but the 21-year-old signing a new long-term contract may have deterred the side.
