Again, Leon Balogun missing as Brighton hold Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park

Nigerian defender Leon Balogun was once again absent as his club Brighton and Hove Albion played a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.

The 31-year-old is yet to feature in the English Premier League for Brighton this season, with his only appearance coming in the League Cup in August.

After a barren first half in the Monday night's encounter, Brighton went ahead in the 54th minute through Neal Maupay, who controlled a cross and rifled it home.

The home side equalised, thanks to Wilfried Zaha who brought down a cross turned his marker and smashed a left-foot shot into the roof of the net in the 76th minute.

The draw has helped Brighton to the 13th position in the league table on 20 points, while Palace moved up to ninth and now have 23 points after 17 Premier League games played so far this season.
