Kjetil Zachariasen demands remuneration from Asante Kotoko over unfair dismissal

Former Asante Kotoko head coach Kjetil Zachariasen is reportedly demanding US$12,150 following his sacking in 2019 after a dismal run of results, Ghanasoccernet revealed.

Zachariasen was released from his duties in November, four months after he was handed the role from AshantiGold.

The Norwegian coach's mandate was to reach the group stages of the CAF Champions League but he failed to do so and the team was demoted to the Confederations Cup and were eliminated by Ivory Coast side San Pedro.

Reports have now emerged that he is demanding remuneration as he feels he was unfairly dismissed by Asante Kotoko and asked the services of his lawyer Prosper Yaw Ntow as they take the matter to the Ghana FA Statues Committee.

Below is the breakdown of Kjetil Zachariassen's demands:

  • 3 months salary - US$ 9,000

  • Pro-rata salary for November - US$1,200

  • The remainder of the bonus (Kano Pillars) - US$1,000

  • The remainder of bonus (Etoile) - US$500

  • Five months of phone calls - US$450
