Serie A: Where to place your bets ahead of Super Saturday

The Serie A is back again with super fixtures today as AC Milan, Lazio, and Napoli look to grab or cement places in the top 4 and secure a Champions League place.

Antonio Conte’s Inter will host an Atlanta side that’s recently found its footing in what is to be arguably today’s crashing clash.

But, we have you covered! Here's our full preview and best bets!

Cagliari vs AC Milan

Milan comes into the match seven points and six places worse off than their hosts as they desperately look to avoid more embarrassment for the remainder of what looks to be another painfully mediocre campaign.

Even Zlatan Ibrahimovic might find it hard to get them back to the old AC we once loved to watch.

In theory, this is not a hard game to call. Cagliari may have the superior position in the table but they are in a terrible run of form and their previous good results have been a consequence of running incredibly hot this season.

It all points to a Milan win.

Match facts

  • Cagliari has lost each of their last three league games, after going unbeaten in their previous 13 – the last time the Rossoblu endured a longer streak of consecutive defeats was in October 2017.
  • AC Milan hasn’t drawn any of their last 12 league games on the road; the last time they played more consecutive away games without a single draw in Serie A was in 1950.

Lazio vs Napoli

Lazio is one of the most in-form teams in the world at the moment, winning each of their last 11 games in domestic competitions, including an impressive 3-1 victory over champions Juventus.

Napoli on the other hand...Well, they haven't been as good. Not even the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti and the appointment of legendary Italian midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has done the trick, as the Naples side have only won one of their last five Serie A matches.

Match facts

  • Lazio has scored at least twice in each of their last seven home games in Serie A.
  • Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik is the only player among the top 5 European Leagues 2019/20 to have scored 7+ goals in fewer than 10 appearances.

Inter Milan v Atalanta

Conte’s men currently lead the Italian championship, level on points with defending champions Juventus but ahead due to goal difference.

Atalanta, meanwhile, is pushing for another top-four finish and goes into this weekend’s game a point below fourth-place Roma.

This is an exciting, but tricky tie!

Match facts

  • Romelu Lukaku has scored 14 goals in his 18 league games this season.
  • Atalanta’s Alejandro Gomez has netted 6 league goals this term, his most in a single first half of a Serie A season.
