🎯 How clinical is Kun Agüero compared to fellow Premier League goal-scoring greats?

The City hotshot wrote a couple more chapters into the record books with his hat-trick against Aston Villa.

Agüero has now taken home more match balls than any other player in the English top-flight after his 12th treble, and he's also the highest-scoring foreigner in Premier League history.

The 31-year-old City legend overtakes Gunners icon Thierry Henry to become the most prolific non-English player in the English Premier League, and he's now only 31 goals behind second-placed Wayne Rooney on the all-time hall of fame.

🏹 Premier League's finest marksmen

The one statistic that really stands out (via OPTA) is Agüero's minutes-per-goal ratio. His figure is by far the lowest of any of the top ten, with the lethal Argentine scoring a goal every 106 minutes throughout a nine-year career in the Premier League.

To put that into perspective, Thierry Henry scored a goal every 122 minutes during his eight years at Arsenal. Alan Shearer is the third-most clinical man on this esteemed list, with the Englishman scoring a goal every 147 minutes during spells at Southampton, Blackburn and Newcastle.

Agüero has notched 177 goals & 53 assists in 255 Premier League appearances, underlining his importance to the Man City cause and reaffirming his status as one of the greats.

"Clinical" has often been an adjective used to describe him and it fits well, with the Manchester City legend proving time and time again why he's one of the most lethal strikers in the history of the game.

Kun will be setting his sights on Crystal Palace next in the Premier League as City looks to take hold of second spot on the table.
