Africa Cup of Nations to revert to January and February for 2021 Cameroon edition

The Africa Cup of Nations tournament is set to undergo yet another change, with reports indicating it will revert to the months of January and February.

The tournament was for the first time held during the summer in 2019, moving away from the traditional January and February.

According to multiple reports, an announcement is expected to confirm the same, with the 2021 edition, set to be held in Cameroon, to be played in January.

According to Mansour Loum, the tournament will 'be without fixed dates', meaning it can be played at any time of the year the confederation decides on.

This will immensely affect some European clubs since most of the top leagues are in action during the period.

Liverpool's main men, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane might be missing for Liverpool come 2021 as they represent Egypt and Senegal respectively.
