Muhiddin keen to help Bandari recapture form ahead of tough KPL matches

Bandari caretaker boss Twahir Muhiddin says the Mombasa based side can recapture form ahead of their upcoming tough matches.

Muhiddin was on Monday appointed as the Bandari's caretaker manager after former boss Bernard Mwalala stepped down. Mwalala stepped down following the club's 2-1 defeat to Tusker on Sunday evening which left the club 11th on the log with 21 points.

In an interview with reporters, Muhiddin revealed that he will have a discussion with other coaches in a bid to see why the club has not been performing well.

Way forward

"First, we need to have a discussion with my fellow coaches so that we can know what has transpired as well as major reasons as to why we have not been performing well," he said.

"From my assumption is after the Horoya return match, that is where we failed to pick ourselves up again. It was devastating and want we need to do is to work on our mental and restore the self believe before we play the upcoming matches."

On Players

The players need time to recuperate because they've been training hard and we need to shorten our training hours in order to make them recover their strength. This is because if you're tired mentally and physically you can't do anything in football however how hard you try. We need to see how to restore that energy in our players and we pick from where we left and we go back to where we belong.

Tough matches

The Dockers have three tough KPL matches as they will take on defending Champions Gor Mahia before facing KCB and Posta Rangers. Muhiddin is optimistic his side will register positive results once the players get their confidence back.

"It is all about the plan in football because if you fail to plan most definitely that's planning to fail. It is all about planning, to me they're normal matches, we have to win, no escaping that fact. All we need is to get confidence back."
