NFF recovers hacked Super Eagles Instagram account

Super Eagles' Instagram account taken over by suspected hackers believed to be in Turkey, has been recovered.

The Instagram account was hacked hours before the 2022 Qatar Fifa World Cup qualifiers draw that placed Nigeria in Group C alongside Cape Verde, Central African Republic and Liberia.

The breach came as a shock to the three-time African champions who have over 230,000 followers on the social media platform.

All Super Eagles’ content was deleted and replaced with pictures of an unknown stylist and influencer based in Istanbul, Turkey.

On recovery, a picture of the Super Eagles was posted with the caption "Back in control", while a posthumous birthday wish was sent to late Stephen Keshi.
