🔴❓ Kenya’s clubless Onyango pushing for new team

Former Maritzburg United and Kenyan international Brian Onyango is looking for Absa Premiership employment since leaving KwaZulu Natal.

Despite years of solid and reliable service for Maritzburg United, central defender Onyango left the club last season after failing to force himself into new coach Eric Tinkler’s plans.

The club declined to renew the 24-year-old’s contract following a prolonged injury layoff. He was later recalled for a closer look at training but unfortunately did not convince.

Onyango later trialed at Baroka FC before his latest attempt to try and earn a contract at the struggling Highlands Park.

It remains to be seen if Onyango will earn a contract at Park - though as a free agent, he won’t be affected by the soon-to-shut January transfer window deadline.
