After being incessantly linked with Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United have reportedly agreed on a £68 Million deal to sign the Sporting CP midfielder.
Portugal international Fernandes - who has 19 caps - has been offered a four-and-a-half-year deal, understood to be worth £130,000-a-week, while the move could be confirmed as early as Wednesday.
Sporting could bank another €15m in add-ons based on individual milestones the player may accomplish at Old Trafford.
United have been linked with Fernandes since the summer transfer window and were reported to be apart in the valuation of the midfielder with Sporting holding out for €80million.
Sporting started Fernandes in their Monday night win over Maritimo with reports indicating the regular selections of Fernandes was a ploy by the Portuguese club to maintain a high re-sale value.
Fernandes has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona in the past 12 Months with the Catalans reportedly bidding for the midfielder earlier this week.
