Rwandese to head new Caf referee training panel

Caf has announced the formation of Directorate of technical referee experts in a bid to restructure and develop refereeing on the continent.

The directorate will be headed by former FIFA referee Celestine Ntagungira from Rwanda and will be composed of a number of refereeing experts from various regions in Africa. 

Ntagungira will be deputised by South African Jerome Damon and Moroccan Hadqa Yahya who will be tasked with development and adoption of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in African tournaments.

Women representative

The other members of this directorate will be Malang Diedhiou from Senegal who will also be in charge of Western Zone A, Egyptian Essam El Done Abdel Fatah in charge of Northern Zone and Mauritian An Yan Lim Kee Chong in charge of Southern Zone. 

Ivory Coast's Noumandiez Doue will take charge of Western Zone B while Divine Evehe from Cameroon will be in charge of Central Zone. Tempa Ndah from Benin will be the women referees representative on the panel.
