Former Hull City striker Jarrod Bowen has admitted that joining West Ham United in the January transfer window was an easy decision for him, The Shields Gazette revealed.
Bowen joined West Ham from Hull City on deadline day (January 31) in a deal that is worth £20million.
The 23-year-old had been a longtime transfer target for Steve Bruce; whom he also worked with at Hull - the versatile player had reportedly been keen on joining the Magpies but they ruled out a potential move at the last minute.
"I knew there’d been other teams interested in January, but West Ham were the only ones that I knew had put a concrete offer in,” Bowen told Sky Sports.
“The others, like Crystal Palace, came from nowhere a little bit, and I wasn't aware that they had actually made an official bid.
"In the end, it was a no-brainer to join West Ham, but I still needed to take five minutes to myself, because it's a big moment for anyone to move the club. I'm very happy."
