Former Uganda Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre is a troubled man after calls for his resignation grew louder barely a month after he joined Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca.
The Frenchman was on Sunday heckled by club's fans after his charges lost 1-0 at home to Difaa El Jadidi.
It is understood that he was summoned for a meeting with club management over the poor results at the club. It was widely expected that he would be shown the door but the club hierarchy threw their weight behind the embattled tactician.
Desabre has had a chequered record at Wydad winning two matches, registering two defeats and a draw. This record has not gone down well with club's fans and they have been demanding for his immediate removal from the role.
He has previously handledASEC Mimosas, Coton Sport and Espérance de Tunis. He was also the head coach of Ismaily SC in the Egyptian Premier League. He has also coached Recreativo do Libolo, Dubai Club, JS Saoura and Wydad AC.
He was appointed the Uganda Cranes head coach in December 2017 and guided them to CHAN 2018 and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. He was sacked as Cranes coach on July 5, 2019. He then joined Egypt's Pyramids two days later before quitting and joining Wydad four months later.
