Celtic boss Neil Lennon makes claim about Olivier Ntcham's injury

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has revealed that midfielder Olivier Ntcham has been risking himself by playing with an injury in the recent games.

The Hoops played against Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon and went on to secure a 3-1 victory with goals from Kristoffer Ajer, Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths as they go 12 points clear on the Scottish Premiership standings.

Lennon could thank his stars after the side managed to win following the absence of some key players; Scott Brown, James Forrest and Olivier Ntcham respectively.

“Olly has a bit of a calf strain that he has been playing with for the past two games and we didn’t want to risk him,” Lennon told The Scottish Sun.

Ntcham featured foe Celtic against Aberdeen in a league as well as Copenhagen in the Europa League; despite his great form, his injury has come at a wrong as he is vital in the squad.

However its not a train smash for The Hoops boss as he can make use of Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic whom he will continue to use while Ntcham recovers.

Celtic are now 74 points on the table after 28 matches played this season including wins from their last five games.
