Rangers fans can be pleased to know that teenager Leon King is in contention to sign his first-ever professional contract with the club according to a report by Football Insider.
King turned 16 in January 2020 and was rewarded at youth level with a spot in the matchday squad against Stranraer in the Scottish Cup.
Clubs in England have to wait for a player to turn 17 if they are interested in offering them a professional deal while in Scotland it is 16-years-old and this has led to the growing attention of the Scotland U17 captain.
The rising start has piqued the interest of big clubs such as Manchester City, Tottenham, Wolves, Liverpool, Chelsea and RB Leipzig and if he continues to be consistent in his performances he could emulate Billy Gilmour who left Rangers to join Chelsea back in 2017.
