Leicester City’s number one pick at the front, Jamie Vardy, missed his side’s 1-0 loss to Norwich City last night through injury, Brendan Rodgers has revealed.
The 33-year-old who has scored 17 goals in the Premier League this season and has played a key role in Leicester’s bid to secure a top-four finish, is suffering from a calf injury.
The club is however hopeful he will be back soon and are sure this is just a minor strain.
‘He felt a slight pain in his calf, we had a scan, he’s got a low-grade issue,’ Rodgers told Sky Sports before the match.
‘Not overly serious, he’ll be back next week but obviously he misses out on this game.’
Vardy was replaced by Kelechi Iheanacho last night.
