Chelsea have been dealt yet another injury blow ahead of their FA Cup clash against Liverpool, following news that Andreas Christensen might miss out with a minor injury.
His absence means the Blues will be without five first-team players for the match, with N'Golo Kante, Christian Pulsic, Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi all out.
Speaking on Monday during his pre-match conference, Lampard further indicated Kepa Arrizabalaga might be starting in goal, after he was dropped in favour of Willy Caballero in recent games.
"Andreas Christensen has got a small issue which we are going to give another 24 hours, but probably puts him in out of the game," said Lampard.
"There are no fresh returns from the injury list," he added.
There was some good news though as Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be involved in Monday night when the Under-23 side takes on Everton.
"Ruben Loftus-Cheek is playing for the Under-23s this evening, to get 90 minutes or hopefully somewhere towards that, which will be great for him.
"Other than that we have no Tammy Abraham, no Christian Pulisic, no Callum Hudson-Odoi, and no N’Golo Kante," he added.
This is the only realistic chance Chelsea have of winning silverware this season and Lampard knows the challenge that lies ahead of them against Jurgen Klopp's men.
"I will presume Liverpool will put out their strongest team, or there and thereabouts, knowing whatever team they put out will give us a very difficult match,"
Liverpool have already won at Stamford Bridge this season, a 2-1 victory in the Premier League last year.
