Nigerian football manager and former player Sunday Oliseh has revealed why he has not returned to management.
As reported by Sports Extra, Oliseh says he is yet to receive the right offer having turned down two jobs from Belgian clubs. The 45-year-old has been without a club for the last two years since parting ways with Dutch club Fortuna Sittard in 2018.
Last year November, Oliseh rejected a mouth-watering offer worth €3m annually with another €1m in bonuses to manage an unnamed Turkish second division club, saying he wanted to be with his family.
Waasland Beveren also approached him but he turned down the offer terming it 'not suitable' for him. However, the former Nigeria captain says he has used his spell on the sidelines to prepare for his comeback.
"There were offers from teams in the lower division from Belgium but I will rather start the season with a new team," he told Sports Extra.
Sports Extra reports that the two Belgian teams who Oliseh is in talks with are Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and OH Leuven.
