English Premier League side Leicester City won't let left-back Ben Chilwell leave easily after slapping an £80m price tag on him.
Chilwell is a summer target for Chelsea with Frank Lampard looking for a left-back with news that both Emerson and Marcos Alonso wants out of the team.
Reports from Goal suggest that Leicester believes that they can get the same amount they got from Harry Maguire when they sold him to Manchester United last summer.
The team is said to be under no pressure to sell the player as they expect to get the needed cash from the owners should they qualify for the Champions League; something that they believe might convince Chilwell to stay.
The Foxes are above Chelsea in the Premier League but the west London club's pulling power in terms of wages they are willing to offer might be too good for Chilwell to turn down.
The left-back position has been a headache for Lampard who has in occasion fielded right-sided defender Cesar Azpilicueta to fill a void.
Over the weekend, the Italian manager urged defender Emerson Palmieri to leave the club in the summer in order to work his way back into the national team set-up something that might have convinced the player to look for options come the end of the season.
Chilwell, who has been capped 11 times by England, was expected to be Gareth Southgate's first-choice left-back this summer in the Euro 2020 which has been postponed to 2021.
