Tunisian side Club Africain has temporary reprieve in a case where they have been ordered to pay $856,000 to Congolese forward Fabrice Ondama by April 14 or face transfer ban.
The club asked FIFA to suspend the orders due to the current coronavirus crisis that has led to the suspension of football activities in Tunisia and in the majority of African countries.
FIFA agreed to set aside the orders until the health condition in the country improves and football activities return to the stadium.
The FIFA player committee had ordered the club to pay Ondama the lump sum after the Congolese accused the club of unfairly terminating his contract in January 2018. The club was also ordered to pay a fine of $30,000.
The relief will now give the club officials to look for the cash and settle the dispute in order to avoid the imminent transfer ban.
