Atletico Madrid are planning on temporary redundancy of around 500 employees with the manager and players taking wage cuts as the Coronavirus pandemic continues to bite.
The club has the third-most-expensive playing staff in LaLiga, behind Real Madrid and Barcelona, with a total wage bill standing at a staggering £312million.
Manager Diego Simeone is the club's top-earner, taking home a staggering £37m per year, which translates to £700,000 per week.
A number of players too are paid handsomely, with last summer's signing Joao Felix, who cost £112million among the top earners.
