Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has named his Premier League team of the season so far.
Shearer has created an attacking team with a 4-2-4 formation. In his squad, five of Liverpool players have made the cut with the likes of Leicester, Arsenal, Sheffield United and Manchester United getting a representative.
Surprisingly, Shearer has opted for Dean Henderson, Sheffield United goalkeeper who is on loan from Manchester United, leaving Liverpool's first choice Alisson.
"It was tough to leave out Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, but Sheffield United’s season has been one of the best stories of the campaign and Henderson has been key to their success," he said.
"The Manchester United loanee has kept 10 clean sheets and his bravery and confidence belie his 23 years. He is a star in the making."
At the back, Shearer has selected Liverpool trio of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Andrew Robertson who are joined by Leicester City center-back Jonny Evans.
Goalkeeper: Dean Henderson
Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk, Jonny Evans, Andrew Robertson
Midfielders: Kevin De Bruyne, Jordan Henderson
Forwards: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sadio Mane, Sergio Aguero, Jamie Vardy.
