Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly was Man United's top center-back target, but not the Red Devils are believed to have shifted their attention to Hellas Verona's Marash Kumbulla.
According to Corriere di Verona, Ole Gunner Solskjaer is looking to bring in a new defender, and preferably a young one.
Man United is, however, joined by other clubs, such as Chelsea, Eintracht Frankfurt, and RB Leipzig, and they will have to be convincing to get Hellas Verona to let him go.
We all know money talks, and so do the Serie A side, which is why a fee of €25-28m is believed to be enough to change their mind, according to the local Italian newspaper.
Kumbulla, at 20 years of age, would be one for the future, but also a player ready to step in if required.
