Norway international Kristoffer Ajer has expressed his pride in one of the four goals he has managed to score this season, a special one that has been nominated for the Magners Goal of the Season Award.
Ajer, however, admitted that although the goal against Motherwell in August made him feel good, his recent goal at Pittodrie (against Aberdeen) is one that he continues to relish on.
The goal came in the 81st minute and gave Celtic the hard-fought 2-1 victory but the 22-year-old insists he wouldn't pick any of his goals for Goal of the Season.
“For Goal of the Season, I would go for Ntcham’s goal against Lazio in Rome,” he told Celtic TV. “This goal was one for the history books for Celtic.
“I wanted to add a few more goals this year because I feel I need to develop that side of my game, so to score four goals, and still with a few games to go, I have to say that I’m happy with that.“That goal (at Pittodrie) was probably my favourite moment of the season because Aberdeen played extremely well up there and we knew that we needed three points to get away in the title race.
"So to score that goal in a game where they were pressing us at the end and to win it 2-1 was fantastic.
“When we went out to Dubai, we were really determined to have a great second half of the season.
"The intensity and the way everyone was pushing each other out there, I knew, even on the plane back home, that we would come back stronger.
“The last few months have been fantastic for the club, we won so many games, and we put ourselves in a great position in the league.
"We’ve already won the League Cup, and we’re in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.”
