Fiorentina director-general Joe Barone has confirmed interest in young striker Federico Chiesa who is already a transfer target for Manchester United and Chelsea respectively.
Chiesa has been tipped as a rising star in the Serie A and has been a player who is adored by the fans including that of the national team.
However the 22-year-old could be on his way out of Fiorentina according to Barone as the interest in the youngster continues to rise.
“We’ll see what his future will be at the end of the season,” Barone told Radio Toscana.
“He is sought-after by Italian clubs, but also from foreign ones.”
Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso also revealed that he is open to the sale of his star player as long as the right offer comes to their table.
“We had a meeting before Christmas if I'm not mistaken,” Commisso said.
“If he wants to go then I'm sorry, but we'd accommodate him, providing the offer is fair. We must also see what he's worth.
“[His price] may have dropped since last year. It must suit everyone, although there's a chance that he'll stay.
“I haven't offered Federico anything. There hasn't been a proposal, it's fake news. The important thing is that a player wants to stay.”
