Michael Carrick names his Manchester United six-a-side team

Manchester United first-team coach Michael Carrick has named his dream Red Devils six-a-side team. 

Carrick, who played with some United's greatest players in his 12-year stay at Old Trafford, has included Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. In an interview with MUTV, Carrick was asked to name a dream six-a-side team of players he has played with and he opted for Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, and Ri

"Rio went in goal once, so I’m saying Rio can play half-and-half. I apologize to David and Edwin, but I want an outfielder," he said. 

‘I’m going Rio, Scholesy, Giggsy, Wazza, Ronaldo… I’ll go all from the past then so that I’m not putting anyone in from the current team – I’m not leaving anyone out then. I’ll put myself in as a sixth. I’ll be like a center-back. I had to cover for Rio enough as it was, so I’ll let him go in goal!"

The 38-year-old, who made 464 appearances for the Red Devils, won five Premier League titles and the Champions League during his stint.
