The resumption of the Bundesliga 2 has hit a snap following two Dynamo Dresden players testing positive for Covid19.
The squad and staff in its entirety are set to start a 14-day quarantine as they look to curb the virus that has taken the lives of many.
It was announced on Thursday that Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga would resume on Saturday, May 16.
That same day, Dynamo Dresden were allowed to begin full-contact training, as the only player who tested positive had been in quarantine since May 3 and it was deemed safe.
However, the club eventually released a statement further confirming that there two more cases but they remain asymptomatic as the positive results appeared through blanket testing.
Dynamo Dresden were set to play their first fixture against Hannover 96 on May 17 and now they would have to wait for another date until all is in the clear.
