Tusker FC midfielder Hashim Sempala gives reasons why he left Gor Mahia

Tusker FC midfielder Hashim Sempala has given the reasons why he left Gor Mahia barely a year after signing for them.

Sempala joined Gor in April 2019 but the midfielder could only manage a half a season at the club before returning to Tusker FC at the start of the current season.

In an interview with Kawowo Sports, Sempala said the Kenyan Premier League giants failed to honour part of their contract and that they abandoned him after he got an injury.

“I left Gor Mahia because the terms and conditions agreed on were not fulfilled by the club. The second incident is that I got injured and never got any medical attention from the club” Sempala said.

The player, however, feels he will represent one of the biggest sides in Africa if everything goes on fine in the next two years.

“If all goes well, I see myself playing in one of the best leagues in Africa come two years’ time” Sempala added.

The combative midfielder joined Tusker FC for his first stint in 2016 having featured for Uganda’s KCCA, Express, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and BUL FC and was part of the side that won a double in 2016 with the brewers.
