Everton have suffered an injury blow ahead of the planned Premier League return after Yerry Mina picked a muscle strain in training.
Mina is now set to be sidelined for 'several weeks' following scans done on Tuesday and will miss the better part of the restart.
The club confirmed the Colombia international suffered a partial tear in his left quad muscle during training last week.
The 25-year-old made 25 appearances for the Toffees this season before the unwanted break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
He is said to be making good progress in the early stages of his rehabilitation under the care of the Club’s medical staff.
The Carlo Ancelotti-led side is currently 12th on the English Premier League standings on 37 points, with nine rounds remaining.
