Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given an injury update on 19-year-old defender Brandon Williams.
The youngster was introduced for an injured Luke Shaw on their Monday night game against Southampton but couldn’t finish the game after a collision with Kyle Walker-Peters.
The defender required treatment following the collision and blood was seen pouring from his forehead with United forced to use Fred as a left-back for the remainder of the game having a man less on the pitch.
Speaking after the game, Solskjaer said: "He's got a cut above his eye. I've not been to see him yet but he's with the medical staff."
"I think he was getting some stitches with the gash over his eye, so let’s see how he is," he added to MUTV.
United will hope that the defender has no major issues ahead of their Thursday tie against Crystal Palace with Luke Shaw’s return date yet to be revealed too.
Williams is yet to start since the restart of the Premier League as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named the same starting lineup for five consecutive games.
