Mason Greenwood might be unavailable for Thursday night's Premier League match against Cyrstal Palace after picking an injury against Southampton on Monday night.
The teenager was on the receiving end of a poor challenge from Oriol Romeu during the Premier League League clash at Old Trafford that ended in a 2-2 draw.
Speaking ahead of Palace's match, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinted at giving the striker sometime off for his swollen ankle to fully recover.
“I'll give Luke [Shaw] as much time as possible - him and Mason, their ankles are swollen and a bit blown up,”
the Man United boss explained during an interview with the club's website.
“I'll give them as much recovery time as possible to give them a chance. Brandon [Williams] should be fine, he has a gash over the eye but if he can see out of it then... we've not trained obviously this morning yet but we'll hopefully have two, maybe all three of them.”
Greenwood has featured in all seven of United’s matches since the restart, including five Premier League, starts, impressively scoring four goals during that time.
His tally for the season now stands at 16 goals, five shy of Antony Martial and Marcus Rashford, who have managed 21 each.
