Warriors goalkepper George Chigova won't be going down with Polokwane City to the lower division after signing for SuperSport United.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper has joined SuperSport after spending several seasons in Limpopo. According to a source close to the player, the move to United was completed in January.
"Yes. George is going back to United and it’s a done deal that was finalised around January this year,” the source told FarPost.
The deal also means Chigova will team up with a strong Zimbabwean contigen at Matsatsantsa: coach Kaitano Tembo, Onismor Bhasera, Kudakwashe Mahachi and the forgotten Evans Rusike.
Meanwhile, the club is yet to announce Chigova, where he will be second choice behind one of the best keepers in the league in Ronwen Williams.
