Norwich City have turned down two bids from Barcelona for Max Aarons

Barcelona have failed to retain the services of Norwich City youngster Max Aarons after English Championship side turned down two bids.

Aarons rose to the occasion in his first two seasons with Norwich and his performances quickly put him on the radar of several top clubs.

According to David Ornstein from The Athletic, Barcelona were looking to sign Aarons on a loan deal and the Canaries were not keen on that option as they were looking to sell him to the highest bidder.

Sky Sports revealed that the 20-year-old had reportedly agreed to personal terms with the La Liga giants and its now unfortunate that the parties involved were unable to settle on a deal.

It has now emerged that Barcelona have shifted their attention to 19-year-old Ajax right-back Sergino Dest but no talks have been opened as of yet.

Aarons registered two assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for Norwich last season.
