Manchester City and Manchester United are both keeping tabs with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
While United have started the season in a sluggish fashion, City is believed to be unsure of Pep Guardiola’s future with the Spaniard’s contract set to expire in the summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has lost two of his opening three games with United and some fans have called for his sacking; the Mirror reporting that United are keen in bringing the Argentine to Old Trafford should the poor results continue.
The reports indicate that City too is interested in the manager with Guardiola unlikely to sign a contract extension with the Citizens after the end of the current campaign.
48-year-old Pochettino has been out of football for almost a year after leaving White Hart Lane last November and has made it clear that he wants to return to the Premier League; the former Argentine international having spent majority of his time in London.
Senior Manchester United figures have made contact with Mauricio Pochettino's camp - and the Argentine is keen on the job as he looks to get back into management. (Source: Daily Star) pic.twitter.com/FkqwuCRJ8M— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) October 5, 2020
