Former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has revealed that he didn’t like striker Emmanuel Adebayor during their time at the club.
Bendtner has been involved in some controversial instances during his career with Gunners legend Thierry Henry being one of those he was at loggerheads with but according to the Danish striker, there was only one guy he fell out with and it was Adebayor.
“There is only one guy I’ve fallen out with and that’s Adebayor. We never liked each other. Apart from that, I got on with most people.
“We sat next to each other in the changing room. He was 25, I was 26, from the first moment we saw each other it was just a bad vibe. That never changed,” Bendtner told talkSPORT.
The two players played alongside each other for Arsenal between 2006 and 2009 but had a public altercation on the pitch in a 5-1 League Cup defeat to arch-rivals Tottenham in 2008.
Speaking about the incident, the 32-year-old striker, who now plays for Danish minnows Tarnby FF, said: “We had some small bust-ups in the changing room and that quite big one in Tottenham where it sort of blew out of proportion.
“We got hammered 5-1, we were so bad and the disappointment of letting the fans and team down just got out of hand between us. We had that sting on the pitch then we had a little bit in the dressing room and then the next day we were in Wenger’s office getting fined.
