Solskjaer admits Man United were lucky not to concede a penalty against Chelsea

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted that they were lucky not to concede a penalty in their goalless draw against Chelsea on Saturday evening.

Chelsea thought they deserved a penalty when United captain Harry Maguire fouled Cesar Azpilicueta in the box but the move wasn’t referred to VAR and according to Solskjaer, his captain shouldn’t have had his arm against the Spaniard.

"Well, you always take a chance if you do (put your hands on someone in the box). The lad just pinned him and Harry maybe shouldn't have his arms around him. Just have your arms (indicates where) and just head the ball.

"They played well. They played it against us last season in the FA Cup and beat us. But today I thought we were the closest to winning the game," Solskjaer said after the game.

The draw saw United remain at the bottom half of the table where they are placed 15th with seven points; the team yet to win a home game since the start of the season.
